Whining sound when we turn off the mower

We have a 52" HP with the Kawasaki engine. Whe we load the Lazer on the trailer we occasionally get a whining sound when we turn off the engine. The engine will not restart until this sound ends.

Any ideas??

You've got me on this one. I've never even heard of anything that sounds close to what your describing. Any other details by chance.

might be best to try and get terry on the phone so maybe he can try to hear what you are talking about. any specifics on the area of the mower that the sound is coming from? almost sounds like maybe a starter relay sticking and causing a sound, would also explain why the starter wouldn't re-engage. just a thought.
