slugs, slugs, slugs, what do we do about them? They are everywhere the back of the house, the front of the house, under the deck and even a few in the house. How can we get rid of them?

I need to know the answer to this as well...anyone??
Slug A-Way is a product on the market that I have never tried. However the old wives tale has always worked for me.
Place a pie pan or other shallow dish just at ground level so the slugs can crawl in easily. Fill with Beer.

Sluggo available on the West coast at least is great and will not harm pets. See www.cdms.net, click on labels and msds and type in sluggo. The entire label and msds is viewable. It is iron phosphate and very effective. Neal

Look for granules that contain Metaldehyde & Sevin. Beer traps, salts, etc may work if someone's time to service daily permits.

Ortho Slug and snail bait has worked well for me, especially to sprinkle throughout the bed so the granules can absorb moisture and release the Metaldehyde for the slugs to come into contact. The beer in the pie pan at ground level works well too.

Can't find the good one, try E-45 (http://www.entm.purdue.edu/Entomology/ext/targets/e-series/EseriesPDF/E-45.pdf).
If they are that heavy, and it is localized, look for the fluke in your environment that promotes the high slug population. I once helped a lady clear up her slug problem on hostas by telling her to remove the wood chip mulch in the hosta beds. The heavy wood chips provided the home, and the hostas provided a favorite food.
