If at all, what percent do you mark up appliances (pipe, heads, timers and so on) for a sprinkler installation after you get them from the dealer?

Thanks for your time,

Are you getting a discount at the dealer or paying "retail" like a homeowner would that walked in and wanted something?

If you are getting a "REAL GOOD" discount from the dealer then anywhere between 30-60% should be good for a full system install. If it were just a small amount like a piece of pipe and a head or two and a few fittings I might charge retail price. For a complete install 30-60% depending on how large of a project it is.

so do you markup each individual part or do you just mark up the total cost?

DowntoEarthLLC,

Just total up the materials used and mark that total up. Don't itemize the bill. Just put down:

1. Labor - $xxx
3. Material (including markup) - $xxx
----------------------
Total: $xxx
