Have a yard that in places has nut sedge, sprayed it last year to try to kill it, back this year. What would work the best besides digging it up by hand.

I use "Manage" from Lesco last year. Works great, but follow the label.

It is expensive, but if you want dead nutsedge, use it.

I also used MSMA on some lawns and it worked on some sedges, but not all of them.

yeah, I second that. Manage would be the product of choice

MSMA will generally require at least two applications within 10-14 days apart. Of course the MSMA will also control crabgrass if you're having a problem with it

Drive for the crabgrass

MSMA for both, but you better live up north - where it doesn't get too hot - this product is very temperature sensitive and you need multiple applications on well-established (yeah, the customer noticed it) weeds.....
