This is for under and around a swingset, approximately an area of 25*15. There is new topsoil, 3-12" depending upon the location ( graded away from house). Sod here runs $3 for 6*1.5 from home depot. How much would turf be, like on football fields, and is it really easy to put down.

dlandscaping,

Hi, figure your cost at about $4 a square foot. This price will include your turf and infill. Your mix would be 1 lb sand / 3 lbs of rubber. That is our mix for athletic fields, play areas, and high traffic lawns. The base is crushed rock with 1" stone dust or sand. Build your base deep enough to avoid frost heave. If it will be an extremely high traffic area, I recommend adding an anchor border under the turf to tie the turf to. Otherwise, the weight of the infill will be sufficient. Use a 2" turf with a 1" infill, leaving 1" of the fibers exposed.

If you need more info, let me know.

Sod from the HD? OUCH! ;)

Better be looking for a sod farm bud. We get sod for .25 sqft.
