Phew, I'm going to advertise in the yellow pages next year!

The book starts in Nov'04 and runs til Nov'05.

Damn, what a deal I got I think..

1/16th display ad = $93 a month ..
That's just the regular ad yellow and black..
the full color is like $200 a month.

1/8th of a page is = $183 a month

I think i'm going to try out the 1/16th display ad fo rnow!

You guys have good luck with atht?

I have had great results with yellow pages. But I feel that it varies by area. Some areas it might do good in while others it doesn't

tiedeman - what type of display ad did you get? did you get color?
white background?

I'm going to get the normal yellow / black one ...
1/16th of a page, so its like a 2" display ad?

That's pretty reasonable compared to here.

I agree with Tiedeman. I haven't had success with the newspaper around here, yet other people have in other areas of the country. I see the same with the Yellow Pages. If it works in your area, then you'll be in good shape.

I got a 3" by 2" ad with white background and red letters. Has my company logo in it, PLCAA logo, and credit card logos. Also talks about what services we offer

I am going to go with the YP for one more year. I have a 2X3 ad in there now. I am going to have the ad professionally designed. They designed my ad last year and personally I think they did a piss poor job. I have real good luck with advertising in the newspaper for one-time jobs, but not real good for mowing. I had the best results this past spring from the newspaper than I ever had. What I did is came up with a heading that took up 2 lines. I also inverted the text....white text on black background.
