3 point mower vs belly mount

Sorry if this is a dumb question.

I can see the difference between how the 3 point and belly mount look (deck up front). But what are the pluses and minuses to each?

The geometry with a 3-point is a little weird and takes some getting used to. On uneven ground it can lift when you don't want it to, and it turns at a different rate than your tractor (it swings out on the turns). All 4 wheels of the tractor have driven over the grass before it gets to the mower, so it's sometimes really packed down.
On the other hand, you can back a 3 point mower into places you can't reach with a belly mower.
In general I prefer the belly mower, but like most tools each has it's place.
