what has more lift?

Hi Terry,

Which blade provides greater lift the OEM Excalibur notched high lift or the solid high lift?

I'm having a problem with stragglers of uncut grass with my 48" TTHP. I've tired both with little luck.

Pete,

The solid airfoil doesn't have more lift than the notched blade but it does create less turbulence and should help reduce the number of stragglers if not eliminate them.

Also on the 48" units you'll want to keep the rake between 1/8" and zero. Engine rpm should be set at 3600 with the blades engaged. Anything below that you’re loosing blade tip speed which can affect the cut. Also check the deck idler and PTO belt adjustment. Check the belts, rake, rpms and put on a set of solid airfoil blades and you should be as good as new.
