Hello all. Thanks to this forum and some demos, I believe that I have decided on a Kubota ZD 21 for my new 5 acre property. The ZG23 would probably suffice, but I really like the Diesel, suspension seat, and pivoting front axel, and larger frame of the ZD.
I have a question that I hope someone out there can answer. After questions to a couple of Kubota dealers and emails to Kubota, I cannot get a straight answer on what the torque numbers are for the ZD 21. You would think that they would want to sell the ZDs by showing they have more torque than the gas motors, but no one has been able tell me what they are. One dealer told me 32ft lbs, but that doesn't sound like much. I have seen numbers for the 25 HP Kawasaki gas around 41 ft lbs. The best answer I got was from a website from Kubota: http://www.kubotaengine.com
But they only have the numbers there for the 18 (D722) and 28 (D1105). Anybody out there know what the 21hp (D782) model is rated at?
Thanks
