Pine Straw Coverage????

Do you guys have a good formula for how much Pine Straw will cover when you are doing your estimates/bids?

It depends on the size and density of the bales. For a general rule, however, I figure 50-60 square feet per bale. I am currently getting $8/bale installed.

To me the thicker the pine straw the better the look. 50-60 sq ft is the estimate when the thickness is about 3-4 inches. You can cover 80 sq ft if you spread it one inch. I have seen landscapers here put down one inch especially in new developments.
