Have a 3 year old Lazer Z 60". Just today the drive suddenly got sluggish. Heard noises coming from around the right drive area. It stalled the engine out. Now it won't start - battery, gas, fluids are all fine. Sounds like there is something holding the engine back.

The drive levers are hard to move forward/backward. Could one or more of the pumps be seized?

BTW, unit has 3000 hours.

Thanks in advance.

Enselma,

Welcome to LS...........although I wish it was under better circumstances.

It's tough to say what is going on but I have a pretty good guess that you'll need to take it to the dealer.

If both hydros were acting up I'd suggest looking at the engine, pump drive belt as well as the self tensioning idler. The hydros are seperate and the only ites that they share are the engine, the pump drive belt, the hydro tank and the filter.

If it's not the hydro belt I'd suspect something in the engine. If the problem is in the hydro system I would think simply removing the hydro belt would allow the enigne to start.

Like I said, it sounds like a trip to the dealer may be a good idea.

Thanks

Terry
