I finally got my proslide. I was a little worried how the 15hp kohler would handle it, but it handles it like a champ. A little front end lift up depending on the grade, but nothing much. A little more weight in the front will stop that immediately.

The Proslides are great. We used them back in our mowing days and they worked great. Saves space and all the walking! They also make great stripes!!

Is that thing far enough out of the way when your walking behind it? It look slike you would bust your shins on it. I just oredered one for my Skag 36 belt drive. I hope the heck i can use it! Im worried it will be in the way of shifting and walking.

well the mower is a 52" 15hp kohler Toro, T-bar and floating deck. The kohler is plenty strong enough to pull me, I weigh about 175 .. at times the front can pop up a few inches, but I've learned to not put all my upper weight where my arms/hands are. Also, for some weird reason, when I engage the blades the front is much more stable.

The proslide itself is for the most part, out of the way when its up. You'd have to really not be paying attention to run a shin into it.

The only problem I had with putting it on the toro was a belt near the plate it needed to be bolted on. I eventually got it on without hurting the belt or any other hardware, just took some time.

how would that have any effect on the stripes?
when its pulling you, your weight is then dragged over the grass. The skid plate is what leaves the stripes.
