48/52 lazer hp speed

I have been looking at the 48/52 lazer hp's. My question is why does the 48" only go 8.1 mph as opposed to the faster 52.

Also someone earlier asked the width of the 52" with the ultravac on the side. That would be important for me also.

One of the things we pride ourselves on is our desire to build machines that perform better than our competition. The 52" deck can handle a little more grass than a 44/48 and the stand and weight distribution give it a little better traction. By tailoring the speed to the various decks we can not only optimize the speed for cutting but increase production where possible with out increasing the risk of things like turf damage, skidding etc.

We accomplish a little added speed by spinning the pumps slightly faster.
