Does anybody know if I need any type of license to do landscaping in the DFW area? I have been getting request from my mowing clients and wanted to do it right.

You do not need any license to landscaping in Dallas. You will need a license if you are going to any kind of irrigation work and if you are going to be applying pesticides commercially. Other than that nothing else is required. I would suggest getting an irrigation license because you can make a ton of money with irrigation installs and repairs.

Listen to lavan, I am in the middle of studying for my pesticide and fertilizer license and I am going to get my irrigators license done over the winter. There is a ton of money in irrigation installs.

What does it cost to get the irrigation license? And I assume this is installing and repairing sprinkler systems.
