Dont know what the trim edge is..??

It does have a mulching kit installed..

As far as size.....I would say its just a little smaller than say a exmark laser HP..The frame is a little more narrow and the tires are not as big...

Basicly Its the same mower as the 34Z except it has a 44inch deck and a 17hp kawasaki vs a 15hp

also the rear tires are a bit wider than the 34Z

I have not cut with it yet...

But when I do I'll try to snap a couple of pics....

My Friend has a 34Z and he is very pleased with it so far..
He sez it cuts great....

The 44Z has scalping wheels where the 34Z does not....Dont know if that will make any difference...

Cant wait to try it out...Will be monday before I do...

Have to work a 24 hour shift on sunday....

what is the difference between a 44z and a 144z? i was looking at the 144z and was quoted a price of $5800 vs alot cheaper for the 44z, i cant remember but i think it was like 3grand for the 44z.

The 144Z sits on the bigger frame and comes with a 19hp kawaski twin....For $5899.00

Or you could get the 144Z with a manual lift deck, 17hp motor and NO Eye Que...for $4999.00

My 44z cost $4599.00
Has the 44inch deck and the 17hp motor.

And last the 34z comes in at $3999.00
Has a 34inch dech and a 15hp motor

So actually the stripped down 144z is not a bad deal..
I priced a identically equipped Exmark laser HP and it priced in at
$6199.00

I liked the smaller size of the 44z for what I will be cutting ...

It has plenty of offset for trim work in my opinion. I tried a demo machine on 13 lawns the week before last, and was pretty impressed. Fast, easy to handle, plenty of power, and nice cut. I am thinking of replacing my 42"/20hp, Walker with the 44Z.:)

eye-q is an overly complicated solution to a simple question "when is it time to change my oil and filters?" (basically). it is really neat, however i didn't get it on my 260Z when i bought mine. If i was running a 10 person crew i would get it, as it allows user-tracking to determine operator effeciency and other neat stattistics. However for a small operation its overkill.
