Big Tex Trailer gates.

Has anyone had trouble with busting up those expanded metal gates on the big tex trailers? I have looked at some of the cheaper angle trailers as well, and they look like the same expanded metal, just not as reinforced. Don't get me wrong, the tube and gate looks good, it just looks like I could pull the thin expanded metal away from the gate by hand.

I have shorter gates with thicker expanded metal that I have busted up.

Any thoughts please.

The welds on the expanded metal on my Big Tex trailer are coming apart. I mean the welds holding the expanded metal to the frame.

I have had trouble with the welds on my big tex trailer, my brother welded angle iron across to reinforce the mesh.

You need to add more supports under the expanded metal. Esspecialy where you drive the mowers up. Its the weight of the mowers bending down and working it that is pulling it loose.
