Can any one tell me where Kioti comes from. They look just like kabutas. Matter of fact the first time I went to the Kioti dealer I thought they were kabutas because I wasnt paying attention.

they may appear the same, but are not.. Kubota is made in Japan and the Kioti is made in South Korea.. You will have to try out each and figure out which will work for you. Like anything else, either makes great machines.. It comes down to what you are comfortable with..

They are completely different. Kioti Just used the same paint to attract kubota customers.
Kubota- best you can get. But expensive.
Kioti- I hope you got a lot of free time. Since its going to be in the shop a lot. Cheap and it shows. There are three at my kubota dealer on trade in. They can't give them away.

You answered your own question in your first post. "because I wasnt paying attention." That is one thing that they are counting on. Just like the other day I bought some "AA" batteries and thought I was getting Duracell and found out when I got home the name really read Duraking. It used the same colors and patterns and all. There is a company making cheap radios under the name Panasonia and the real company of Panasonic is not happy about it to say the least. I even heard of people sending the Panasonia radios to Panasonic for rapair or replacement. They must not have copyright laws overseas.

The kioti dealer (about 45 min away) always seems to have brand new tractors half way taken apart in the shop. The people I talk to around me that have them, say never again. People I talked to were farmers to homeowners to landscapers. The only thing nice about them were their new curved arm loaders.
I did a lot of research before I bought my Kubota. I must have talked to 100 or more people. Most said JD or kubota. Demo 12 some tractors from a bunch of companies(kubota, deere, new holland, farm pro, kioti, agro, MF, case, Mitsubishi, Cub Cadet, long, etc. The Kubota and JD smoked ever thing else. But a closer look at construction (kubota metal parts, JD plastic) Cause me to want a Kubota.
I ended up finding almost exactly the tractor I wanted used from a friend who wanted a ZTR. (one model off, wanted a B2410, he had a B7500, same machine, just one is deluxe model and one is standard model) For a whole lot less than new and it look new with only 120 hours which was not bad for a 2 year old tractor. (kept it next to his corvette in the garage)

Kind od odd sounding.. From 99% of the people I talk to, visit or know to own Kioti's, all agree they are a great tractor and would do it over and over again.. It sounds to me that the particular dealer your referring too, isn't very good at set up or repair.. There are many dealers, truck, car and other, who have been in business many, many years and still "don't get it done"// There are those instances where the new guy on the block, does get it done.. I have a Mahindra, which is an awesome tractor.. A lto of people think the Mahindra is low level junk also.. Funny when it runs circles around the top three and keeps purring away.. I have to say again, itsgottobegreen, this is not the norm for Kioti or any other S.Korean mfg, it has to be that specific dealer.

There is no comparison between a Kubota and the other imports.
I have hydrstatic, wet brakes ,cruise control,a real effucient deisel,I coul go on and on.They look like a toy compared to my Kubota.
They are not of the same quality just cheaper.

Uhh... just to make sure a little bit of a few things.
First of all -- Honda is NOT a Korean company. Hyundai has already begun to produce products that are better in quality. Every company will have bad or troublesome products -- just look at Deere's first few 200 series skids. The hydrostats went out after a few hours. And that was DEERE -- designed from the ground up to be different and better. It took them a few models to get the kinks worked out.
Whether Kioti is different from a Kubota -- yes indeed it is. Construction Equipment did a review a few months ago. You might be able to find it at www.constructionequipment.com

I can't say i know much about the kioti tractors, i am however, about to buy my second new kubota in 5 years and they are worth the money! I own a B7500 with heated curtis cab, great machine for light landscaping! I now need a larger machine with more PTO,loader and 3 point power. I was going for the l 3410 with fact. cab but the payment was too big. The new plan was for a B7800 W.loader and curtis cab and i was ready to make the deal until i saw the new B models on kubota.com yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!!! Either way ther'e will be two kubotas in our shop by mid march! If you are wondering if the 7500 will be up for sale the answer is no focking way!!

I know there are probably a lot of happy Kioti owners out there that wont like this post.
I have owned Kubota and was very pleased with its performance. I worked the crap out of that little tractor. (Money well spent.)
A friend of mine bought a Kioti with a backhoe attachment and saved a lot of money over the Kubota. The backhoe broke off the tractor while digging black dirt (no rock) he ended up trading it for a Kubota. He said he would never make that mistake again.
I have seen Kioti’s that were broken from normal use than Kubota’s from heavy work. I’m not saying the Kioti is a cheap poorly made tractor at all. But I would not buy one for my own use.

.....and i've seen plenty of Kubotas that broke due to normal use, same goes for JD, NH and all of them. Just had a guy in the other day telling me of how his JD 790 threw a rod @ around 400hrs. Just becasue you see one break doesn't mean they are a bad tractor. Everything made by man can and will break no matter what color. We have had very very few problems with the Kioti line and have never seen a broken case or BH break from use. Makes me wonder if he had a 3pt bh or a subframe. You name a brand of tractor and i can think of one that has broken due to the use of a 3 pt hoe, or had someone in telling me how one did.

So does Kioti, and they will generally out spec, out weigh, and have much heavier componets on them vs. other major brands.
Not trying to start a war here but if the last time you looked at Kioti was over 5 years ago then you need to take a look again. Kioti sales in this area keep growing and growing. Most of my sales are to landscapers and homeowners and not one complaint yet.

We have a new Kioti dealer around here thats been in business for about a year now and he's sold about 15-20 Kioti's so far. He's had a couple demo days demonstarting Krone hay equipment from 9' discbines up to krone's largest round baler and was running all of it with DK 65 Kioti's and they were pulling it just fine. I'm convinced that Kioti builds a very good tractor and they are definately worth looking at.

You are right on both accounts, I don’t remember if it was a 3-point backhoe or not. You’re also right that all brands will brake. The other Kioti had a broken front axel, (the owner is a friend of mine who also sells tractors) said it was operator error, which could very well be. But I do not think it would ever have happened to my Kubota under the same circumstances. For what its worth he said the Kioti is a very well made tractor, and he would put it up against any other.
So does Kioti, and they will generally out spec, out weigh, and have much heavier componets on them vs. other major brands.
I don’t know the weights of the Kioti’s but I will believe you that the Kioti’s will probably out weigh the Kubota’s. My stepfather just purchased a John Deere instead of the Kubota because the Kubota weighed around 2,700 Lb.’s less than the Deere. I would have done the same thing in his shoes because the added weight helps a lot for what his tractor is going to be used for.
It was not my intention to offend any Kioti owners, I’m sure they are a good tractor. There just not for me.
i was talking to our kioti dealer after buying our kubota with fac cab 3430lgrand totaly loaded. so i stoped in to check them out they were so close instyle. and same orange. so after talking to them found out kubota and kioti have a big lawsuit. about the color of the paint. they were partners and they fell abart. kubota stayed they other left and kioti was born but kioti holds patien on kubota orange.

The lawsuit has been settled. It was mostly over the design of their tractors because they look identical to Kubota's so Kubota started a big lawsuit with them. They settled it recently and then Kioti changed the looks of several of their tractor models so they wouldn't look identical to Kubota's. They did keep the same color paint though.

Compared to JD Kubotas are less exspensive and better made. Look at a kubota if you are buying one. I'm on my second one and love it.

let me jump in on this thread, though it may be a bit late. first, korean mfgrs have (are) following a similar quality model that the japanese followed. cheap at first, with reasonable quality. then gradually increasing both quality and price. look what hyundai (kia) has done. their newest vehichles are 98% of the quality and performance of the japanese. the next country coming down the pipe is the chinese. watch out for this beast.
as for the mid-sized tractors, 70-100hp, i have only experience with ford/new holland. i operate 3 in some of the harshest environments, the woods and swamps of south georgia. these tractors are absolutely beast. they simply keep going and going and going and going.....you get the point! we do woods mowing, spraying, and tree planting and operate day after day without problems. if you look on the backs of the trucks hauling the equipment in this business from site to site, you will see almost exclusively new holland (tb 100's, 110's, 120's and the older 7610's and 6610's). there are a few jd's and the odd mf here and there. NO kubota's or kioti's. any of these are available locally, but experience has shown us what the most durable tractors are for our use. this is my opinion, but i feel i have some credibility in this matter. please note that i am not downing any other brands!

I have heard a few good things about Kioti, lots of good things about Kubota, and lots of bad things about JD. I personally am on my third NH (by choice, not because the others broke down). I love my NH and I am thinking of upgrading a bit larger soon. I may also look into the Kubota and Kioti brands when that time comes. I have bought one part for my NH tractor in the past 350 hrs of heavy-duty use. It cost me $30 and about 10 minutes of my time. Now, I have heard that Kubota has the same great reputation, however, IF you do need to get parts, I have heard that their (and JD) parts are so expensive, it's unreal. I think NH parts are reasonably priced.
I will probably stick to NH when I upgrade but I would love to try out the others too. I love the hydrostatic for loader work but hate it for pulling power.

So far in 570 hours the only part I've replaced on my Kioti DK 35 is a tachometer cable at a cost of $7.95.
I have been real happy with this machine.
