which is more important to you?
Which is more important to you? Try living without either one. They are both essential -- although plants use them differently.
Nitrogen is used in much greater quantities hower. For a NEW lawn common practice is to use a starter fert such as 18-24-12. This gives you a Phos boost to help with rooting -- but I would not want to try and grow new grass without any Nitrogen either.

Thanks for the reply, Which fertilizer would you recomend on a new lawn that is noit a year old. I just reseeded around my dry creekbedn install, I need something that will not hurt the seedlings.

Any "starter" fert will do just fine.
Ask your lesco guy for direction but the 18-24-12 is a great choice. There are some 8-8-8 or 12-12-12 or 16-16-16 products out there that are just fine too.
