View Full Version : Bad Boy mowers

I am going to be replacing my Turf Tiger with another mower within the next few months and could use some imput about a brand I am not too familiar with. I was looking at the 52" Gravely and Hustler super z when I stumbled across the Bad Boy. All three have the same 27hp Kohler, however the Bad Boy is over $2000 cheaper. I would like to find out from people who have seen or used the Bad Boy, what the cut quality is like, how does it mulch, has the mower been reliable, etc. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

Any reason for not going back with another Scag? I have the Wildcat whcih is the Kohler 27hp and a 61" deck.

I have seen and demo'd a Bad Boy, and they are smooth and heavy duty. I have too steep of ditches for any ZTR though, so run the JD 595, and 455.

Came as close to buying as buying one could get. The only thing that kept me from it was DEALER SUPPORT and I live less than 2 hrs from the factory.

So I bought a Grasshopper instead!!!!

I have a 52"/27HP Bad Boy and wouldn't trade it for anything less than 2 52" Bad Boys! It is an awesome machine! 1/4 in thick STEEL deck (nufff said) 27hp KAWISAKI liquid cooled. Beautiful cut. Awesome customer service straight from dealer as well as the manufacturer. Any questions Ive had have been answered immediately. Call and ask for Wes. Great guy and very knowledgable about the bad boy products as all of their staff are.
Seriously they will bend over backward (so to speak) o make sure all your questions are answered and anything you need you get.

Ive noticed something about this company whether it be through their dealer or directly from the manufacturer, that CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SATISFACTION IS "THE" PRIORITY.

c4, I demoed one as well and loved it, the only thing I didn't like was the electric lift, but I could have dealt with that. Really nice machine, and I don't think anyone can compete in terms of $$$ to hp / size of cut ratio.

We have 3 72". Two with flex decks on. The cut ,ease to work on, ride all make it one great mower. The price is better yet.

Ask Meg Mo - He is a sponsor on this forum and owns the mower. His link is on the top of the home page - middle of the left three Just under (Think Springs),

Never used a flex deck myself but by the looks of it,it seems it would ruin the stripes you would normally get mowing.
