Is that mower in storage looking like that? That thing needs a major clean up job on it!

I forgot who posted about the problems with breaking the hydro cap and some how water got into his hydro system on his 34z. Anyways, the screws that the seat are suppose to sit on came loose on my 34 and rubbed on the hydro cap.
This is how I think his cap broke.

Anyways, the ride isnt too bad(compared to my bobcat), but those springs seem like a good idea since it should raise the seat up an inch or so off the hydro cap.

The only things that I would change on this mower is some scalp rollers and springs standard on the seat. thanks for the pics ken.

Those booted springs look just like whats under the seat of a old Snapper LT12D lawn tractor, I done a quick search but couldn't find a good parts look-up site. Could post the part number tomorrow from the shop.

Wow that thread is nearly 21 months old! I think Mike got those springs at Tractor Supply. I'll ask next time I see him.

Here is a pic of the springs in March 05...right after he pulled it from the lake....after rolled down the levee....the home made seat springs came out okay.....lol.
