Approximately 3 months ago I purchased a new 48" Metro belt drive with Kawi 15hp & ECS.

When going up a grade and making right hand turns the mower seems to have very little drive power in the left wheel. This is my first commercial walk behind but seems to me that it could be a problem with an ECS adjustment or the tranny?

The problem also seems worse after mowing an hour or so...

Thanks in advance for any and all assistance.

Chris,

It's unlikely that it is a transmission problem. Generally when there is a problem with the transmission it effects both sides equally.

I'd look at the brake adjustment on both sides, and work the drive levers back and forth to see if they feel about the same. Also grease the lubrication points on the brake braket pivot and wheel belt drive idler.

It's all mechanical on the gear drive machines so all you need to do is find what is creating resistence in the side effected or what is preventing proper belt tension on the wheel drive belt in question.

When in doubt take it back to your Exmark dealer.

Thanks

Terry
