I live in Brevard County in Florida what do you guys use for fertilizer on St Augustine grass and how many times a year should it be fertilized. Is liquid or granular better and why.
Thanks

"better" is just relative!
liquid works great but doesnt last as long! granule works great but lasts longer!
just a good 16-4-8 will work fine BUT remember if you fert without insect control,,,,its like throwing slop out to hogs!

Read and know Florida State Pesticide Law it can cost you big money to learn the hard way.
Sticky thread at top of Forum has links to all state licensing laws.

Do you need a license to use plain old Scott's fertilizer? Or is it just the spray type that you need licenses for?
No special license for straight Fertilizer

ALso, factor in N sources. With all the rain we get, some sources fair better, ie Urea doesn't leach as bad this time of year.
