Does anyone know why the top blower for shindaiwa and redmax are not being offered by http://www.alamia.com right now? We plan on buying one in a month or so from them but saw that they were not listed.

I think they ran out of them. Email me for the address of a company that I buy all my Shindaiwa equipment at a discount. Put "Shindaiwa" in the subject.

They still had the Shindaiwa last week. I don't know what happened there. It's not even listed :(

I thought maybe Shindaiwa had flexed their muscle in taking away mail order suppliers when I first read this. I emailed them several months back concerning this. I received a reply from them that stated they were trying to "outlaw" these sales. Anyone interested in voicing their opinion on this should contact them before Alamia and others are forced to stop selling Shindaiwa.

YEAH, THEY THREATEND TO TAKE HIS DEALERSHIP AWAY IF HE DIDN'T STOP SELLING THEM ON THE WEB. IF HE CONTINUED THE DISTUBUTOR WOULD LOSE HIS DISTRIBUTORSHIP. HE ALSO HAS PROBLEMS SELLING IN CALIFORNIA WHERE MANY TWO CYCLE ITEMS ARE ILLEGAL OR SHOULD NOT BE SOLD. (Edited) No unsponsored advertising please. Adminitrator.

The thing is it's just two blowers; one a shindaiwa and a red max. (both very similar)If they are not allowing them to sell shindiawa wouldn't they take away the other blowers away as well?

I was thinking they were allowing them to sell there existing stock. That would explain why some are still available. Can someone actually confirm this? If so, email me. If Shindaiwa and others want to play this f'ing game... fine. I may have to switch brands   I have purchased 6 pieces of their equipment this year! Without the likes of Alamia, I would have bought one edger and thats it!

I AM FROM THE DENVER AREA AND KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON FROM THE DISTRIBUTORS AND THAT WAS THE LAST THING I HEARD. HE USED TO NOT EVEN BE A DEALER FROM RED MAX AND WAS BUYING IT FROM OTHER DEALERS. I WOULDN'T GET MY PANTIES IN A BUNDLE ABOUT SHINDAIWA NOT WANTING TO SELL OVER THE INTERNET. SHINDAIWA HAS MADE IT CLEAR TO DEALERS THAT THEY FEEL LIKE THEY WANT TO BUILD THEIR BUSINESS WITH SERVICE. NOT SOMEONE WITH THE LOWEST PRICE. I AM A LARGE DEALER HERE IN DENVER MYSELF AND I CAN TELL YOU I CAN OUTSERVICE A ONE MAN OPERATION (HE IS THE COUNTERHELP) ANYDAY OF THE WEEK AND ACTUALLY MEET OR BEAT HIS PRICE. IT ISN'T ANYTHING AGAIST THE CUSTOMER (YOU) THE DEALER SPENDS A LOT OF MONEY INVESTING IN A COMPANY AND ITS SHINDAIWA'S WAY OF BACKING UP THE DEALER. I AM DEFINITELY NOT SAYING ALL SHINDAIWA DEALERS ARE GOOD BUT THAT IS THE REASONING BEHIND IT.

Service???? With any good product there service should not be needed under waranty..if so any local dealers with service it (at least here). To me they will just lose sales.

Like I said before, I have yet to find any decent Shindaiwa dealers around here. They all sell for MSRP or above. I will not pay that for service that amounts to nothing

BigD, would you sell equipment to me via mail order if whatever company (Shindaiwa, Echo, Stihl ) were not against it?

I talked to a representative from http://www.alamia.com this morning and they said that the reason why the blowers are not showing is because they are OUT OF STOCK and they should be getting more in Feb. I should have known that was the reason especially during the spending season.

HE MIGHT FEEL THE PRESSURE TO PUT THEM BACK ON THE WEB. I HAVE NO IDEA. MY OFFICE IS 15 MINUTES AWAY FROM HIS OFFICE. THE SAME CLIENTS COME INTO HIS OFFICE AS MINE. I BUY AT THE SAME PRICE AS HE HAS AND I COULD GO RIGHT DOWN TO THE DISTRIBUTOR TODAY AND PICK SOME UP. SO WHAT THAT MEANS TO YOU. TAKE IT FOR WHAT ITS WORTH. I AGREE WITH THE FACT THAT EVERY GOOD PRODUCT YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT WARRANTY. I SEE WARRANTYS EVERY SINGLE DAY. YOU GUYS DO NEED SERVICE. I FEEL THAT THERE IS A CEILING ON HOW MUCH YOU SHOULD PAY FOR SERVICE THOUGH. I AM ONE OF FEW DEALERS THAT HAVE BEEN IN YOUR SHOES. I OWNED A LARGE LANDSCAPE COMPANY AND I HAVE HAD THE SAME RUN INS YOU GUYS GET. SO I TRY TO BE A STORE THAT GETS COMMERCIAL EQUIPMENT OUT IN A DAY FOR SERVICE AND SELL THE PRODUCT AT A REASONABLE PRICE. (NOT RETAIL.) YOU GUYS BELIEVE WHAT YOU HERE IN THE LANDSCAPE FIELD. I WONT QUESTION YOU. I KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON HERE WITH THE PARTY YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. IF IT COMES BACK ON THE NET THAT DOESN'T MEAN HE IS BUYING IT FROM THE DISTRIBUTOR. HE COULD BE BUYING FROM ANOTHER DEALER. IT COULD BE RIGHT BACK ON THE NET. HE DOESNT HAVE THE SAME PRICES ON THE NET AS HE DOES IN HIS STORE. HE BLOWS IT OUT ON THE NET AND SELLS AT A DECENT MARGIN IN THE STORE. ON A BACKPACK BLOWER HE MIGHT MAKE $20. IN THE STORE HE MIGHT MAKE $60+.

I don't know actually what you are trying to say with your last post...but i'm just letting people know that http://www.alamia.com will be selling those items when there are back in stock..so there is no need to worry. (This information coming from alamia themselves)

WASN'T WORRIED JUST THOUGHT YOU GUYS NEEDED TO BE EDUCATED ON HOW THINGS WORKED IN OUR BUSINESS. THE GUY IS A SMART GUY. HE FINDS A LOT OF LOOP HOLES IN THE SYSTEM. IF THEY ARE ALL LEGAL I WOULD BE SURPRISED. KIETH I SENT YOU AN EMAIL EARLIER ABOUT SELLING TO YOU VIA EMAIL. I TOOK YOUR POST AS YOU WERE INTERESTED IN SOMETHING SO I INVITED YOU TO SEND ME A LIST OF WHAT YOU NEEDED. BUT I SEE YOU WERE JUST ASKING ME A QUESTION. YES, I WOULD SELL THEM OVER THE INTERNET AT A SIGNIFICANT DISCOUNT. OTHER THAN STIHL. NO STIHL OVER THE NET. I AM A DEALER FOR STIHL AND I HEARD SOME BAD KARMA ABOUT SELLING IT OVER THE WEB. I ACTUALLY AM BUILDING A WEBSITE NOW THAT WILL HAVE THAT STUFF ON THE NET. IT WILL ALSO FEATURE PARTS AND PARTS LOOKUP. IT HOPEFULLY WILL BE UP AT THE END OF JANUARY. IVE BEEN WORKING ON IT FOR MONTHS.

Yeah, I will. You will have an error until it is actually open to the public. I will notify you when it's all up and running.

I figured it wasn't open yet since when I looked at it you didn't have any products listed.
