guys i really need help with this one. i have worked with irrigation for a pretty good while now and i don't know how to charge. I have put in 2 complete systems by myself and helped with others. (all for my family)Do you guys charge by the foot, station, head, square foot or what i need your help

We charge by a mixture of all those. How many heads it will take, how much pipe we would have to use, number of zones, etc etc. Labor added on depends on the overhead the company uses.

Labor rate x number of man hours = Labor charge

Material x markup = Materials

Labor charge + Materials = Total Price


Labor rate must cover direct cost of labor plus contribution to overhead plus profit.

Materials markup = Cost of materials plus warranty plus overhead contribution plus profit.

I figure $75/rotor and $35/spray + any other few such as rental, locating etc....
