Max Lime?

What is the maximum amount of lime I should apply at once? I read somewhere on here but did a search and now cannot find it.

It depends partly on whether you are using powder or prilled dolomite for one thing. What kind of lime and what is the current pH level of the soil?

Pelletized limestone. I believe it is dolomitic. I have migh Magnesium though in my soil sample. What type of pelletized lime is better as I do not want to add mag.

I have tried spreading granular befor with my JRCO spreader and looked like big clouds of white smoke everywhere and very difficult to see spray. So I am going pelletized.
