how to kill canna lilies

I have run the search function and found no answers. I need to get rid of these plants. They are in large irrigated beds in the front entrance of a sub division I take care of. Is there any way to kill them besides digging up the entire beds. I have tried glyphosate mixed with a diquat and they just grow back.

My bosses at my full time job LOVE canna lillies and were complaining today about everything that kills them up here in CT! Wish I had listened to that conversation.

My husband & I run a landscaping company, I love to garden & so do they so we trade plants & ideas.
