Briggs engine sounds like its gonna blow

Hi everyone,
I have a Briggs 5 HP I/C engine mounted on a pressure washer, and the second i start it up it revs and revs like its gonna blow ,
it has seperate choke and throttle. The linkages seem ok but the throotle lever has no control over the engine

fix the governor

you need to set the governor with the throttle, if you can't , take it to a repair shop. YOUR RIGHT it will blow.
