Hey all,

I have had a few customers ask me about these clumps of grass in their yard in which the blades kind of resemble crabgrass. I pulled out a clump and brought it into Lesco and they said it was a hybrid type fescue. The stuff is quite noticeable on some yards now that the other grass (mainly kentucky bluegrass, rye) is stressed and turning brown due to lack of water. The guys at Lesco said that the only thing they had could only be applied in the spring and is not proven to be that great of a solution plus it is very expensive (not sure what the name of product is). They suggested using Roundup and then digging it out...that is, if the customer is overly concerned about it. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with this and if there is a product you recommend or a different solution (than the Roundup solution). Any info would help!

Thanks
