I plan to start my own full time business in the spring. What did some of you do when you first started to get clients? How did you spread the word about your new business?

We never give percentages to customers.

We always offer them a dollar amount $5 $10 $20 etc.

I have found my customers would rather I put $5.00 back in their pockets today than 10% and such in the future.
