Anyone tried Ice melt with magnesium?

I got this sample product from http://www.standtar.com.It said on the package to add cold water so i put this stuff in a bowl added cold water and this stuff got so hot it warmed my hands thru the bowl.Anyone tried it on lots?

now you need 1400 bowls for each driveway that you do. Life couldn't get any better. Look for articles on mag cloride or go to Lesco for their Lescomelt. Like all good things you have to use the right amount of product in order for it to work. PennDot is using it as a pre-treatment on highways and getting good results
