I have a JD 4510 with a 460 loader attached. Tractor has 330 hours and the loader has never been removed from the tractor and I bought new.

Problem is the loader controls don't work properly. This problem just started a few days ago and is staying consistent. No worse or no better.

Loader bucket will not roll back at times. Sometimes it will just fall down when trying to roll back. The loader arms raise real slow at times and not at all at times. Then they will work fine for a few minutes and go back to not working.....

Its covered under warranty in which the dealer will handle, I'm just curious.....anyone know about hydraulics that can explain whats goin on with this thing?

Fluid was the first thing I checked.............
All components that run off the hydro system works fine except the loader.

No.....The dealer told me that they had another 4510 that had the same problem. Had a valve sticking in the valve body. They just put a completely new valve body on the tractor. Said he would do the same with my tractor.

Sounds logical............Whats your take on it?

That was my call, or the relief valve was not adjusted correctly or dirty.
Good luck,
Matt

Dropped the tractor off today and talked to the main man. (mechanic) He said what you said about the relief valve. Going to adjust relief valve and check----replace if needed.
