950 members and how many lurkers? ARE YOU FULL TIME OR PART TIME? WHAT IS YOUR FINALE ANSWER?
Speaking for some of us lurkers, I don't answer questions like this because I am not a Pro lawn care guy. I have a commercial mower and I learn from this forum but there are a number of questions I feel I must stay out of.<p>Frank

If I am awarded the contract that I just bid on I'll be going full time July 1. If I don't get the contract I'll continue part time.

Let's see, it's Sunday night 10:42 and I just got home from cutting a cemetery and in 6 hours I will be heading to my full time construction day job then from there back to cutting until 10 or 11 so I guess I am only part time at the cutting stuff. This time of year is really hard on us, too many jobs all at once.
05-28-2000, 10:42 PM
how do you cut in the dark?
05-28-2000, 10:51 PM
john i dont think that is a good reason your work and apperance should set you apartand maybee you can school the costomer on why he should choose you not the lowballer im also full time
05-28-2000, 11:11 PM
I have lights on my Walkers and I black tape a flashlight to the weed trimmer if it gets too dark. We only try to cut big places in the dark, soccer fields ball diamonds and a couple of rural cottage properties.

Part-Time lawn & landscape. Some days it feels like full time. Work Full-Time at nite in factory. As soon as I can build my customer base to exceed factory income I'll go Full-Time in the lawn business. Till then I just keep plugging away Part-Time. I hope I'm not going to be condemed for only being a Part-Timer. Mowman
