Need New Motor

Last week I threw a rod in my Lazer Z HP 18 hp Kohler only 400 hrs and regular oil changes for the last 200 hrs) and we a having a heck of a time finding a replacement CV23S. Whats going on. Are the plants on shut down or what? My dealer is Westover L & G Albany GA.
