How many of you guys have help?.Last year i had a guy help me for a month or so an on his checks i always put contract labor .I didn't take any taxes out or anything to that nature .Is this BAD ?like i said it wasn't but a couple hunred dollars .I'am gonna talk to my accountant this year about it ,i just wanted some of your opions.

I could be wrong, but I think you need to fill out a 1099 on him if you consider him contract labor.

1099 will probably cover your a--. In the past anything under $600 did not require taxes taken out. Don't know if still true, but consulting accountant/tax person is good idea.

it was 600 lasr year,no 1099 needed if he make under 600.

Well i know he didn't make that much....Thanks guys ,Once again this site is the best .
