Advise on Riding Mower

While riding down a busy street I saw a lawn maintence crew working in a commercial district and one of them was on a lawnmower that also edged as he drove along. I tried to see the name of the lawnmower he was on, but couldn't pull over.

Does anyone out there know of such a machine? If so, has anyone used such a machine and is it effective or costly?

When I asked my lawn dealer, he says he knows of one company that makes a machine like that, but it costs way too much money for what it does.
