Yep. It has a real mean sound to it. 72cc motor is a beast.

What is it's weight?

Got one but its rained just enough since not to get to use it. Dealer literature says it weighs 24-25lbs which is about 3 more than the 7001, and 4 more than the Stihl 420 I replaced. It sounds good, like a motocross bike and it really does move some air as I've "played" w/ it some between showers. Can't wait to get to cutting and actually use it. Cost was $519.

in the last month is when they first started hitting most dealers, beware, as of now i think NO rack company makes a rack for it though. it won't fit the trimmer trap or jungle version for the 7000/7001.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention, she's so bad she's got a lap-belt in addition to the shoulder straps! Hang-on!!!!

Yes it does come with a lap belt. That is not a joke.

It will NOT fit into the current racks. I am in the process of re-working my trimmer trap rack to hold it. Before long I'm sure companies will make a rack for it.

I bet that dude will eat the shirt off your back.......instead if just screwin' it up!

I need one of them thangs for these wet winter leaves we got coming........and pine straw.

In comparison to the EB630.........how much stronger?

Will it blow a cinder block across the parking lot?

Hoss, how about a comparison video with the new video posts... You know, a side by side duel of the blowers... Plus I wanna hear the "dirtbike" sound for my self!!! If it kicks as much butt as you guy's that have them say... Redmax is gonna sell out!!

I was at a Hustler dealer and a Redmax rep was there with an 8000. I was able to compare it to the 7001, and the 8000 is a clear winner. The rep says the 8000 burns much less fuel, as a bonus.

The fuel economy claim is prolly true. The Strato-Charged Redmax engines get ~35-40 percent better fuel economy...and run smooooth !

No need to go 4 cycle with a Redmax ! The Strato-Charged engines are CARB Tier II and EPA Phase 2 certified. They'll be around for years.

According to the paperwork with both machines they are pretty close in fuel usage. But, the 8000 is 10cc's bigger.

I can't wait for leaf season now, a 7001 and 8000 should get the job done.

I don't know about the video stuff. Someone would have to come over with something to video with.

I agree, lets go. Get your buddy and make urself a video. I have the 7001 and would like to see how it holds up to the 8000.

I'm thinking of adding another large backpack blower instead of a push blower for this fall. How powerful is the EB8000 in comparison to a 8hp push blower? I've tried a 5hp push blower and i'd say it's not much more powerful than my Echo 650 will be... add in the mobility of a b/p and that it's quicker in small areas and you don't have to go back to the trailer to swap out for a push blower, and it might end up around the same time difference. My Echo 650 i love, it was $475 at my dealer. If the EB8000 is only say $50 more than my 650, I'm sold!

Hoss (or anyone else that has one), if you get a chance, could you give us a pic of the other side of it so we can see the top handles?.

Trying to see if it will fit my blower rack.

Thanks.
