View Full Version : Moderators and Conflicts

Im posting here to get this topic out of the snowplow forum, though a thread at that forum is a direct reason for me to address this subect.(re:Greenman2ooo's valid concerns)

As other members have mentioned, it appears to be a conflict when moderators are permitted to edit discussions they are involved in, in some way. I would propose that a moderator not be permitted to edit any discussion thread in which they have had, or may have, any posting, website, product, etc.

In my extensive travels across the Internet, this is one of the very few forums in which a moderator may post as well as performing the duties of keeping the forum running smoothly. Maybe the lawncare moderator should be an individual not involved in lawncare, the snow plowing forum moderator be someone with a lawn business in Hawaii, etc?

First of all, what are the exact duties of a moderator On Lawnsite? When I find that out I will let you know if I agree or not...

Eric, plowking, grassmaster, the administrator and Chuck, have too much experience in their fields to keep them from posting and helping people out. As for editing the post they are involved in I dont know if is is crimminal to do that LOL.
