I was wondering how you guys firgure out how much to charge to put sand in someone's yard? How do you come up with the amount of sand you will need? if any of you have any good tips about how to spread sand, please do<br>thanks for the help<br>Dingo

Dingo<br>I would either charge buy the hour plus supplies or I would make the estimate high enough so that it would be well worth the time. Shoveling sand or dirt is not as much fun as riding a ZTR, ya know.

I know it sounds crazy, but there are a lot of sanding/topdressing companies around here. And the profit margin is unbelievable. They put down two tons per thousand sq. ft. , and charge from $150 to $200 per thousand. When they place the sand--usually with a topdressing machine--they then comb across it with an upside down stiff rake. Try to get the sand smooth as if you were finishing a concrete sidewalk. I don't know if this is what you are talking about, but good luck!!

to make a artificial sand storm every time u mow it (esspesily with high lift blades)
