What angle do you sharpen your blades at? Ive tried 45 degrees but it seems to blunt. 30 Degrees seemed like the edge was too thin and wanted to curl under while sharpening. Plus they seemed to dull a lot quicker due to the thinner edge.

I grind mine at 30 degrees. That seems to give the longest lasting edge. I do however change blades every day. No more than 12-15 lawns on a set before changing.

Thanks Dennis for the reply. What do you use to sharpen them? Right now I use a belt grinder which may have something to do with the "curling effect".

About 30 degrees or just a little under. I run doubles, a solid foil highlift with a low lift mulching blade on top. The mulching blades I just use a Dewalt 6" angle grinder on, due to the waves, but all others I use a Neary.
