clover and violet

best way to get rid of these for regular joe homeowner. have 3/4 acre and both are bad in certain spots. about to do fall dethatch/aeration/overseed here around chicago.
i have seen lesco makes something called quicksilver. can regular consumer buy this stuff? looks expensive too. any practical less expensive way? also how long after using these can one overseed? thanks.

Quicksilver is Carfentrazone and not very good. Weeds, particularly clovers, will probably grow back, they did for us. We switched to Spotlight (Dow) and Horsepower (Riverdale) with great success on clover. Trichlorpyr is good on violets, Drive is better. If you can still use Confront it would be the very best on clover types (.75 oz 1000 sq/ft) with surfactant. You may not be able to buy these unless you are licensed. If so, try a pro. Neal
