I just mow my own yard and I have gotten a lot of great information from this board. I thought some lawn care professionals might find information on link belts useful.

I have been running power twist link belts on my John Deere F725 54" deck and pto drive. These belts have been working great for me. The belt on the deck sits funny in the drive pulley on the deck because the outside of the belt contacts the pulley but it has been working great. When the deck ate a piece of barb wire it killed the 20hp Kawasaki motor and the belt didn't slip.

For those not familular with link belts they are made out of individual links that are about 2" long and weave together to make a belt any length needed. Links are easily added or removed with a pair of needle nose pliers. Link belts are reported to last up to 10 times longer than regular rubber belts. They are more expensive though.
