You'll think differently when you're a senior member :D

It is necessary to a point. Many people I believe to see how active a person on this forum when hearing what that person has to say.

HOW DO YOU BECOME ONE OR OTHER?

jimsmowin, it is set at
0 to 74 is Junior Member
75 to 200 is Member
Over 200 is a Senior Member
So the way to advance is to post until you get enough to advance.

Here's the thing.
The NUMBER of posts is irrelevant.
It's the CONTENT of those posts.
Not Quantity, let's strive for quality.

I agree 100% Jodi, it's not quanity, it quality that counts. I sure didn't word that as good as I could of above. I should have taken more time in that post, but I was busy tonight. Thanks for bringing that up.

Well this isn't going to be fun.
My girlfriend makes fun of me when she see's that I'm listed as a junior member. I saw an earlier question that said you became a member after something like 30 posts, so I was all excited about showing her that I wasn't a "junior" anymore. Guess I'll have to break my truck a few more times and post a few more "problems" so I can get up to 75 posts quicker!! I can't wait to get there, too - then maybe she'll quit making me order off the kid's menu!! But we do get into the movies cheaper, I guess!

Well each post or reply shouldnt have to be earth shaking. Some will sit and ask themselves "is what i have to say or question worth posting or replying"? and then do nothing because they think what they have to say isnt good enough. When someone stops by the forum and there is nothing new to read for 1 to 10 minutes they usually leave the site. One persons view of quality may not be yours. What some people find interesting you may find boring. So members should contribute whatever they have to offer and it will judged at that point by the response. In my opinion some activity is better than no activity at all when it comes to a forum.

Todd, you may have read an older post. The amount of posts to advance has changed since this forum started up in December of 1999. It used to be around 25 or 30 and I think 100 posts for the advancements.

Being a senior sure does have its advantages at McDonalds though. Get that coffee cheaper!
