Let me ask you guys a question.

Would you have any use for an independent agency with green industry knowledge to come in to your company and provide the following?

Make regularly scheduled phone calls to your clients to check on how your company is doing.

Make visits to your properties to review work being done by employees say on a quarterly basis.

Provide you with info for upsells.

Help reduce client cancellation rate.

Help set up and implement training programs.

Provide you with written reports on your larger or commercial properties.

This person would not be an employee of the company but rather looked at as a subcontractor so to speak. You can accomplish many things you have always wanted to do but never had the time, and without having to hire a full time employee and carry all the extra overhead associated with employees.

Thoughts????

What are the costs?

Might be a good idea, even if you have the time to do this yourself, sometimes being too close to the situation, can really cause blind spots.

Do they gaurantee performance?

Willing to provide you with a non-disclosure, to help protect your client list?

Are they bonded?

Rob, you mean in other words a company that is basically "auditing" your company's performance?? If so, that may be very interesting.. Please tell us more..

Yeah - they're called consultants and just about every industry has them including the green industry. Wouldn't be a bad line to get into if you had the experience, expertise and contacts.

Not sure on costs, certainly would depend on location of the country, size of company, etc...

Problem is most companies dont have the time to do this themselves, and these tasks fall to the wayside.

Performance guarantee would depend on the companies operation's systems and the owners ability to follow up on the problems and steer his ship.

Non disclosure---- What does your accountant, or other consultants in the green industry offer?

Lawn King---- Yup, a field audit, reviewing your properties and only reporting back to you the owner on what is found. How much would job performance improve if guys knew (after the first visit) that quarterly site visits were being made by an outside non biased individual?

How about letting your clients know, you have someone doing this in one of your newsletter's. Tell me that would not be a huge selling tool to tell Mrs. Jones that we have someone inspecting your property and contacting you on a regular basis throughout the year.

Our accountant is bonded, plus is subject to license revocation if h shares any of our information with anyone. Not sure about other green industry consultants.

Sounds like a great idea, good selling point, even if you have the time to do it yourself, you might be somewhat biased in your evaluation.
