enclosed trailer inside walls

the inside walls of my trailer are very thin plywood. As anyone here replaced it with thicker stuff? Did you run into any problems?

Scotts.. my trailer is the same.. what I did was put 2x4's with lots of screws to spread out the load, then, I attached everything that I built, (trimmer rack, big burly shelf) to them...Works excellent, and is rock solid.
