Weed and Feed Shelf Life

Lowes in my area just put all their fertilizers and weed and feeds on sale, 25% off seasonal closeout. Should I stock up now, enough for most of next years applications, or does this stuff lose it's potency sitting around this long?

I have bought near the end of seaon from Wal-MArt, etc. As long as its in sealed packages, it isn't a problem IMO. I have even used it the next spring without a problem (I put a couple bags in a larger pastic bag and seal it up for the winter).
