What is everyones opinions on blade setups? For discharging and mulching. I can't decide how i want to set it up. I have never run doubles before thought i may try it. Do you have to use a "+" bracket or can you just tighten them in the perpendicular pattern without the +?

I have heard good things about Gator mulching blades but there are a couple of different ones...hmm...which ones??...

Of course i am open to different brands and setups...that is what you guys are here for!!! :)

You dont need a bracket. I use a small quick square to set them at 90 degrees to one another and just tighten them down. They wont move unless you hit something. For leaves, I like gators over high-lifts, but lately I,ve been experimenting with sand blades over high lifts. A lot less noisy and almost as effective.

Try different set ups. See what YOU like. Ilike standard lift singles I only discharge . Doubles place a lot more stress on the clutch at blade start up.I don't care for premature clutch failure.
