I'd like to hear what you use for a chest spreader. I like the Maryuamas myself. I'd like to hear what everyone else uses and where online I can get one.

Thanks

I'll bump this unanswered post up. After a day of pushing the most brutal hills I have ever seen I need to buy a chest spreader. Any suggestions?

They are like a broadcast spreader that you wear around your neck and dispense the granular by cranking a handle. They hold a smaller volume but are good for steep hills. They may also have other uses I dont know about.

I use the ones that Spyker sells but I have a canvas guy make me new bags out of heavy duty canvas. Then tear off the bag on the spreader and put a new one on. I use them a lot and they last about 2 years. They are not very expensive...$25.

Hope that helps.

I use a spyker and like it a lot, I've never used the canvas style, just the plastic. I think it is the easiest fastest way to fertilize anything under 5,000 sq ft. Great for back lawns accessed by a stairway too.

I hate them. I was using it for salting and wearing a coat but I thought the stuff was way to close to my face and a pain to get the hang of.
