Time between lime application?

How long do I wait between lime applications?

I need to put down 85#/1000 to get my PH where it should be. I put down 30#/1000 on labor day and plan on spreading the final 30#/1000 in March/April 2005. I will need to get down one more application between these does it matter when or if the ground is frozen? Thanks

not knowing the kind of lime you are using.....but go ahead and do it this fall. I'd do it in Oct.
I would have also split the 85# into 2 applications...no big deal though

I would have split the apps too. I think you will be okay to put down 50#/1000sf now and check your pH next year to see where you are at............

I'm sorry I misread your post. If you put the first app down a few weeks ago... just wait 'til spring to do the second app.

I'm putting down dolomite lime. I'll put down another 20# late October and final 35# as soon as the snow melts. Thank you for the replies!
