I mowed then aeratored and seeded about two weeks ago... in the last 3 days the seed has started to come up.. the new seed is about 1 to 2 inches now.. how long before i can mow and not hurt the new seed... yard is starting to look like a jungle.

Thanks guys

Scroll down in the Homeowner Assistance forum to my post named "1st cut of new seedlings".
I waited a good two weeks, the seedlings' average height were about 2".

Jeff,
You can cut when you can't pull the grass up by the roots. If you pull the grass and it breaks off,but does not pull the root out,go ahead and cut.

I will test that when i get home.. the lawn is still a little wet from the recent hurricanes 5 inches it dumped on us.. is it better to cut when the ground is completely dry.
