I want to compare Pump models to other manufacturers, but I can't find what model you use.
Examples:
Hustler Super Z uses Hydro-Gear BDP21
Scag Turf Tiger uses Hydro-Gear BDP-16A

Soupy,
Sorry for the delay..............We are using the BJ12 on the Lazer Z. The BJ Series is the latest design from Hydro-gear and has been performing extremely well in our application.
Thanks

Do you use this same pump on the Lazer HP? If not which one do you use ?
Thanks,

How about th XS? I had one over the weekend for display at open house on my job and that thing really impresses me. I will be trading in my Z on it as soon as my wife lets me.........

Terry, thanks for the reply.
I've been "trolling" this site all summer, tying to decide on a ZTR mower. I couldn't decide between the CT or the HP. I'm a homeowner with 2 acres to mow. One of my local dealers (3 within 30 minutes of my house) shot me a good price on a 04 CT 19/52. I think I'm going to take him up on it.
Thanks again!

In the quest for more general knowledge, inquiring minds want to know what these "slight mods" consist of??? I assume they are for the purpose of slowing the unit down for estate application or to adjust to tire size? But is it doen by means of pulley drive ratio? Adjustments? Use of pressue limiting valves?
Real curious....
Also, wanna sell a set of CT wheels? I would like to know what offset they are? IF they are 2"/5" positive offset (shallow dish) I'm not interested. But if they are 3"/4", centered, or 4"/3" I need a part #...

Envy,
The big difference is some valving to keep the hydros from overpowering the lighter machine. They pumps could easily make such a light machine a little over sensative with out the proper valving. This also acts to releave some excessive pressure spikes in the smaller wheel motors.

Terry,
Thanks a million for that reply. It clears up a lot for me. As the product lines grow it's harder to stay abreast of things and maintain a general understanding....
